Food for Life partnership
Local Food Links works closely with the Food for Life Partnership whose aim is to 'reach out through schools to give communities access to seasonal, local and organic food, and to the skills they need to cook and grow fresh food for themselves.'
The Food for Life partnership is led by the Soil Association (one of the UK’s leading organic food certifiers) in partnership with the Focus on Food Campaign, Garden Organic and the Health Education Trust.
Food for Life awards catering marks to organisations such as restaurants or caterers who meet the standards on food quality and provenance set by the partnership.
Local Food Links was the first school caterer to be awarded a Gold Mark Catering Award.
