Apples Diced 212g
Baking Powder 7.5g
Flour Self Raising 250g
Butter / Butter substitute 225g
Demerara Sugar 50g
Sugar Soft Light Brown 225g
Line a baking tin with parchment paper.
Melt butter. Put flour, baking powder, cinnamon, sugar, into a bowl. Add the melted butter, eggs, (add milk if necessary to slacken the mixture).
Beat well until thoroughly combined and mixture is light and airy.
Add apples and sultanas and combine well.
Pour into baking tin and sprinkle top with demerara sugar.
Bake 160/10 for 40 mins.
Cool on wire rack and cut into portions.
