Dorset day centres to benefit from LFL meals
9th February 2012
Local Food Links has received a boost after securing a new contract with Dorset County Council to provide meals to supply meals to a day centre for older people in Lyme Regis, and another in Bridport, which provides care for adults with learning disabilities.
The contracts represent an opportunity to move into new areas, as Local Food Links has had no previous involvement with adults with learning disabilities. It is also a boost for the long-term sustainability of the scheme.
Caroline Morgan, Assistant Director of Local Food Links, said:
“We are delighted to have won these contracts, which mean that our work with older and vulnerable people is secure for the long term. We are very pleased that DCC have chosen to support a local, fresh meals supplier, showing that food quality is an important part of daycare provision.”
